UTAR PICK-UP SERVICE

A free air-port pickup service offered by the University only to East Malaysia's newly registered students, who are commencing their first trimester of first year study, arriving at KLIA and KLIA2 airports before transferring them to their pre-arranged accommodations nearby their respective selected campuses.

Foundation Studies Programme

Orientation Programme will start from 27 September 2020 (Sunday)

  • Trip 1 - 23 September 2020 (Wed)
  • Trip 2 - 24 September 2020 (Thu)

The pick-up time is at 2 p.m. sharp at KLIA / KLIA 2 (Arrival Gate 2) . Latecomers will not be entertained.

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree Programme

Orientation Programme will start from 18 October 2020 (Sunday)

  • Trip 1- 23 September 2020 (Wed)
  • Trip 2- 24 September 2020 (Thu)
  • Trip 3 - 14 October 2020 (Wed)
  • Trip 4 - 15 October 2020 (Thu)

The pick-up time is at 2 p.m. sharp at KLIA / KLIA 2 (Arrival Gate 2) . Latecomers will not be entertained.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The pick-up service is open to newly registered students of UTAR from Labuan, Sabah and Sarawak only. Students who are interested to use this service should read and agree to the following rules and instructions.


Rules and Instructions

1. Students should ensure that they have received the Offer Letters of Admission, Student Bills, Medical Report Forms and Orientation Programme booklets. 

2. Students should pay their fees as stipulated on the Student Bills prior to using or eligible for such service. 

3. Students should fax the following documents to 05-466 9248 (Kampar campus) or email to dsa@utar.edu.my (Sungai Long Campus):

(a) duly completed Pick-Up Service Google Form;
(b) receipt of payment — Student bills;
(c) receipt of payment — Hostel; and
(d) a copy of own NRIC, front and back on the same page.

For Foundation students
Documents (a) - (d) should reach UTAR (5.00PM, 14 September 2020) before the pick-up service is provided.    
 
For Undergraduate / Postgraduate students
Documents (a) - (d) should reach UTAR (5.00PM, 5 October 2020) before the pick-up service is provided.  

4. The pick-up service is for students only, and is not offered to parent or guardian.  

5. Students need to provide residential address at Peninsular Malaysia. This address should be in the vicinity of UTAR. We will send students to the address provided from KLIA / KLIA 2. 

6. The pick-up time is at 2.00 PM sharp at KLIA / KLIA 2 (Arrival Gate 2) on 23 & 24 September 2020 for Foundation students, and 23 & 24 September and 14 & 15 October 2020 for Undergraduate / Postgraduate students. Latecomers will not be entertained

7. Students be allowed to carry only a luggage sized 24-inch (60cm x 41cm x 25cm) and one small hand carry bag per student, due to limited luggage space in the UTAR vehicle. 

8. Please be concerned that the deadline for pick up service application is on 

- 14 September 2020, 5.00 PM for Foundation Studies, and 

- 5 October 2020, 5.00 PM for Undergraduate Programme . 

9. Students will receive confirmation from UTAR once they meet the requirement of the pick-up service. 

10. The University reserves the right to change information herein without prior notice. 

11. Personal data collected will be protected in accordance to Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
